Herbed Olive Oil Biscuits

Carbs. Perfect for everything.

I like using heart shaped cookie cutters, molds, stamps, whatever. My middle name is Love (seriously), and I’m normally a huge cheeseball. I like to draw heart shaped sriracha on food I give to Michael.

Love love love love hearts *puke*. I make myself sick!

It was our 3 year anniversary yesterday, so I post something heart shaped in lieu of a proper related post.

I made these a while back to go with breakfast, but I realized that I was out of butter (again). So I found this recipe online.

Olive Oil Biscuits

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/3 cup olive oil oil
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1 handfull finely minced herbs, your choice! I used parsley and green onion.

Mix all ingredients. Seriously. Don’t over mix just until it comes together.

Preheat oven to fo-fitty. 450.

Beautiful! This dough has a very nice texture as well.

Roll out to about 1/2 inch thick and cut out your biscuits.

Place on an ungreased baking sheet, and bake for about 10 minutes, or until golden brown. Keep an eye on these please.

Yeaaaaah... biscuity.

Surprisingly fluffy and with those layers you find in butter filled biscuits. Oh so delicious! A fine replacement in any butter related emergency.
