Michael ate more than half. Seriously.
We love pizza, and I love making pizza. I can use whatever I have or plan to make certain types. This was a combo of both. I had some stew beef I wanted to use, but I didn’t want stew.
I also don’t understand people who say they don’t make pizza dough because it takes too much time? I can make a basic pizza dough in 20 minutes, less even.
Yum Yum Yum
My first real meal in my home! We have been eating out a lot. Specially pho at this one place, I think we’ve gone every second day =/
I threw together a quick curry using Glico curry. Which is my favourite instant-ready-to-go curry. The jarred ones always taste…odd.
This was SO worth how terrible it is for me, btw.
Poutine is a Canadian thing. I’ve met a few Americans who have NO idea what it is, which I find surprising, because a lot of “down home American food” consists of the same ingredients. Fries, cheese curds and gravy.
But this was far from traditional, but oh sooooo delicious.
I’m lucky enough to have amazing parents willing to taxi around my 24 year old car-less body to and from the grocery store from time to time. So that’s where I was after work, unfortunately I hadn’t eaten dinner, so it was definitely difficult.
I find I don’t have problems with over purchasing, or purchasing what I don’t need in the grocery store when hungry. My only problem is a bit of attitude, and how I can’t stop thinking about how I need to eat some food.
So as soon as I got home I needed something filling and comforting.
I’m home sick from work today, so I’ll use this time to update my blog. I have a few piles of pictures/recipes to post that have been piling up.
A while back I made some tomato focaccia from the tomatoes I grew on my balcony! That plant grew loads of tomatoes, but I’ve been negligent in watering it as of late. I’m surprised it STILL has tomatoes on it.
I used this basic yeast dough recipe I use for EVERYTHING. Pizza, bread sticks, focaccia, etc. I’m not sure where I got the recipe, but it works and I always end up with a nice chewy moist dough. S’how I likes it.
You may not be aware but Michael and I are in the middle of moving. Or in the middle of about to be moved?
Regardless, we’re packed, waiting to leave and are quite lacking in the ingredients for dinner area.
So tonight I had a look in the pantry/fridge and came up with a Pork Sausage and Fresh Tomato Alfredo Linguine. I also made some garlic bread out of some 3 day old french bread.
You can't believe how happy my belly was.
…the rest is this way!
