Check me out at my new site!
I thought I’d make one of these, because I think it’s super important that you have a properly stocked pantry. If you’re new to cooking or think you dislike it, this will make it easier, and fun! Or something!
and in the interest of awesomeosity, I’m going to look for the best stock photos ever.
I’ve posted a recipe from my friend Bryan on here a while back, it was a random trip to starbucks that turned into some odd sandwich. But this was something he planned, and has actually had before.
The PNE, or Pacific National Exhibiton, is our summer fair that shows up for about two weeks near the end of August.
I generally go to the PNE once a year, but I’m not really sure why anymore. Nostalgia I think. It’s generally very packed, hot, and expensive. I don’t go on the rides while the PNE is here, because it’s held at our amusement park, and it’s maybe two times cheaper to go when the fair is gone!
Just a quick-ish post. My mother made these for Michael and I last weekend 🙂 I asked. It was one of my favourite things she used to make!
So I went to Donalds Market earlier in the week and they had whole cartons of peaches for $2.99! So I had to buy them and I had to make something.
One of my facebook fans straight up asked if I could try and make some brownies she’d had at a fundraiser, and gave me the description. I’m not sure if I came even close, but regardless these were tasty!
I guess I do requests now!
These are my “fudgey brownies with a peanut-buttery milk chocolate topping with mini chocolate chips”.
This is a type of cake my mother used to always make. Especially when we had fresh plums! This works great with any kind of fruit, and the base is incredibly forgiving.
I haven’t made a cheesecake in forever. This originally was going to be a vanilla cheesecake with sriracha swirl. But once I made my “sriracha syrup” it was too garlicy for what I was going for, and well.
I WANTED CHOCOLATE!
I flipped as soon as I saw this recipe. Such an awesome idea!!
I made this granita a while back, it was beautiful when I made it! The weather’s been crap since!
I wanted a good cherry recipe, and since everyone else is making clafouti, I went the scone direction.
This is a very special recipe, for one, it’s a vintage recipe, but it also has a great story behind it.
Why is it called “Atomic” pudding you ask?
I made these a few days ago, but I couldn’t bring myself to edit my photos. Life is hard, yo. Especially when you work full time.
I think I’ve told you before how much I love peanut butter and chocolate. If not, I apologize. I LOVE IT!!
I’ve been sick for a while now, just a cold that wont go away, and I needed something comforting. But that comfort needed to be accessible. So I threw these together with what I had.
I couldn’t really decide what I wanted to make, so I asked Michael to look through some cookbooks I had and just pick one thing to make.
This thing was INCREDIBLE. Thanks honey, good choosin’
A while back my mother gave me a giant bag of rhubarb and a giant bag of blueberries, and it was taking up room in the freezer. I’ve been thinking for a while what I wanted to make with them. A coffee cake, maybe some muffins, but since it was so substantial, a crumble was best. I still have a ton of fruit left over, so I can experiment with something else later.
Hey everyone! Sorry it’s been a bit. Work work work. No time to play 😦 But yesterday night we had a few people over to watch a movie and hang out, so I decided to make borg cupcakes! Which turned into Born Brownie Cupcakes!
I just got my February issue of Bon Appetit in the mail, and this was their cover recipe! Mine are far from immaculate looking, but boy were they delicious.
Nothing special, but so much better than some of that powdered grocery store crap.
