I made this granita a while back, it was beautiful when I made it! The weather’s been crap since!
Back to the granita!
What you need:
- 4 cups seedless watermelon chunks
- a good handfull of raspberries
- 1/2 cup sugar
- Juice of 1 lime (or lemon)
I did not photograph my scraping adventures, because I also made that sangria the same time I was making this, and decided to have a bunch of sangria… *cough*
The freezer time will vary depending on the depth of pan you’ve used and your freezer. So just keep an eye on it. If you accidentally freeze it into a giant ice cube, just break it up into a food processor and blitz it a bit!
As for this weather, man, it’s awful. Produce isn’t as nice as it usually is. Local strawberries are flavourless. Climate change SUCKS. Especially for those who enjoy local food!
